The sudafed laws should be changed. My state requires an effing prescription. I usually pick 2 up in the next state over, but it’s annoying to have to drive the extra miles.

And no, I can’t just see my doctor and get scrip without driving the same extra miles because they are in the next state over too. It’s annoying as hell.

Tired of being punished in place of actual lawbreakers.

If I could afford it I would love to buy a fully automatic rifle instead of Sudafed every time I got the sniffles.

That was the one before pseudoephedrine (sudafed). It was being abused by chicks with eating disorders to suppress appetite and to speed up their metabolism. Several fell over dead from heart failure.

Pissed me off like crazy because it was a far better cold medication for my children who were in their snot nose phase at the time. Sudafed worked, but it made them aggressive. Not a lot of fun, mothering four sick, yet homicidal pre-schoolers.

I don’t need a background check for my Sudafed, I just show my drivers license and I leave with my Sudafed!! When purchasing an AR I have to go through a background check and I can return to the firearms dealer in 3 days and pick up my firearm!! I am in CA. so it is more difficult I assume, you may be able to have your firearm the same day in other states I don’t know!!

Also in CA...a handgun has a 10 day waiting period, and the only ones you can get here at a LGS is 2013 designs. Anything of a newer design would have to be able to stamp the serial no. on the round casing in 2 different spots. Which is pretty much impossible to do, so none are approved by our overlords.

Sudafed tablets used to be 60 grams.

NOW—they are 10 & twice as expensive.

Anyone who says they ONLY made 30 gram is wrong-—I Have an old bottle that clearly says 60 gram on it.

As for adopting a dog-—The COUNTY pound where I live had a goofy, 18 month old Rottweiler mix & I got him within 1 hour of arriving at the shelter. Rural pounds are easier to deal with.

Sudafed is a decongestant, not “allergy medicine”. It’s hard to buy because it’s a primary ingredient in one of the recipes for methamphetamines.

Now by “hard to buy”, in most states that means you have to ask for it and show your ID instead of just grabbing it off the shelf yourself. You don’t need a prescription, or fill out a federal application, register your Sudafed, or wait 5 days to get it after your purchase!

“My strategic nuclear MIRV warhead is scheduled to be delivered tonight.”

There’s a new idea for Elon Musk to use to beat Jeff Bezos. Use his Space-X rockets to instantly deliver payloads of cheap goods from China to anywhere in the world via strategic re-entry vehicles.

Fenfen was used as a diet drug and when it was taken off the market, dipshit anorexic turned to the decongestant phenylpropanolamine for it’s appetite suppressant effects and abused it right of the market too.

Phenylpropanolamine was more effective than the pseudoephedrine that replaced it and of course Sudafed promptly found it’s niche with drug abusers.

They’ve tried to replace that with phenylephrine, but it sucks as decongestant if you have a really bad cold.

I remember all this because it happened exactly when I needed it most in my early mommy years and educated me on how stupid and uselessly paternalistic the FDA is.

I found out during a bad cold that Sudafed PE (phenylephrine) is almost useless, versus the old formula with pseudoephedrine, which in most states, is located behind the pharmacy counter and require a photo ID and signature due to the Combat Methamphetamine Act. For pseudoephedrine’s membership in the amphetamine class has made it a “sought-after chemical precursor in the illicit manufacture of methamphetamine and methcathinone.” - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudoephedrine

But pot is legal in many states.
