I sub at a semi rural school I used to teach at. As part of ‘training’ we went to the sheriff’s office and had a lesson in what to do if the school was under attack. It included locking the door, finding a means to keep the door from being opened (as simple as a rope or belt looped around the doorknob), barricading the door with classroom furniture and as a last resort rushing the attacker with whatever improvised weapons might be at hand (wasp and hornet spray, hot coffee, book, desks, etc.).

The deputy conducting the class said, that the department’s policy was to not ‘wait for backup’ but enter the school and engage the attacker. This class was at least five years ago.

Something I just learned about that shooter. He used only ten round magazines in his rifle.
Same for the Virginia Tech shooter.

Yet one of the things the Dems demand is a ten round limit on magazines.
