I have not seen any video, so I don’t have an opinion on that.
I am stunned at the hatred of police and all the Monday morning quarterbacking done on this thread, about what police should have done. We don’t know what their orders or instructions were. I want to learn more facts about all of this. We do know that a shooter situation is a fluid situation, subject to ever changing circumstances. I don’t have enough knowledge of law enforcement procedures to say they obviously were cowards, they did this wrong, they did that wrong, etc.
I don’t know enough to have an opinion. Those of you with strong opinions, I find stunning, because it’s all negative against police.
But I admit I don’t know the facts of the response and what should have happened, if somehow police didn’t act according to proper procedures or any of that. I don’t have hatred against police as many here seem to have. I have no basis for that hatred.
Maybe watch the video before you speak. It’s not hatred for police. It’s a conclusion of the LE’s involved based on sane observation.
Thank you! A voice of reason.
I too am surprised at the rampant hatred here at FR
A veritable lynch mob toward the police.
Under what circumstances can you say 150 armed police, some to most having good protection and all with decent weapons, are justified in not engaging a shooter over apparently something that went on up to 90 minutes? If the city mayor or police chief said no police can engage the shooter because they want a high civilian death rate, would that make you happy? There is no other plausible reason for people, meant to engage, to not engage.
These same people gladly pull a speeder off to the side of the road, but that earns the city cash income from a ticket, and it doesn’t help depopulate an overcrowded Earth.
So you know nothing, yet feel compelled to criticize the reactions of others?
Either the cops didn’t act according to the “proper procedures” and the individuals at the scene should be held to account OR the cops did act according the the “proper procedures” which is to let 20 children die over a period of 90 minutes until things cool down or a Border Patrol agent comes to fix the problem.
In that case, the people who wrote the procedure need to be held to account.
They were cowards
You like cowards
