But why no mirrors on sticks up into the back windows? Room 111 and 112 were two rooms with a connecting door. The killer could only be in one room at a time. Why no use of back windows, via tiny mirrors, even? Why the sole focus on the TWO classroom doors? Retardation?
This is not rocket science. You can make one of these with a car mirror and tape in one minute. Then you safely peak into the TWO classrooms, to see which ONE the shooter was in at the time.
I know a high school here where the Principal has an impressive collection and is a good shot too. One of his Assistant Principals is also a badass... my wife. A campus aide is a former Marine and a consultant for the SWAT TV series. I know at least these 3 would not hesitate to act.
I’m glad they are so well prepared, but I strongly hope they are never called upon to use them in anger.
However, militerized, skinheaded, badge heavy thugs, with one hand on their Glock, who use their "command voice" to demand a driver's licence from a traffic stop for a burned out licence plate bulb have gone a long way toward destroying whether anyone cares if ALL cops get a bullet in the face.
When cops were real vets, instead of the high school bully, who used to set small animals on fire, they had a lot more support, rather than the almost justified "Defund the police" they whine about. Those vets wouldn't have blinked about whether or not to stop a crazy.
Perhaps even ratting out the the corrupt, trigger happy goons they work with, before they joined the SWAT team?
Something to ponder.
At this point, we really don't know much of anything, because the shooter wasn't white. The media can't even bring themselves to describe him as "hispanic." When George Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon Martin, they labeled him "white hispanic." About the only news outlet that's actually dug a bit into his life is the U.K. Daily Mail. They are usually the ones to look to for what the main stream media refuses to cover. They're not perfect, but they are more motivated to dig for info than any U.S. news outlets.
“Do we even know for sure that the 19 kids were still alive at that point?”
There were 19 law enforcement officers assembled outside the hallway at 12:05. A few minutes later (I forget the exact time) a student in the room called 911 to report 8 or 9 students still alive. Shots could be heard in another call later at 12:21. The door was breached at 12:50.
As do I, obviously.
I have told her that if the SHTF and they have big trouble, I will be there in a heartbeat. My tactical bag is always packed and the house is right on the way from my work to the school

Your sincerer anger at be unjustly treated does not automatically prove that the authorities staged these murders.
In fact, I believe I have been even more unjustly treated by the police myself. But that does not lead me to hastily believe bad things without evidence, without witnesses who are really qualified to know what they are talking about, who don’t have a hidden agenda, who are consistent and who are corroborated. I strongly encourage you to do as much fact checking and critical thinking as you possibly can within the time and resources available.
I’m sorry that you’ve been mistreated and have suffered unjustly. But that doesn’t mean _every_ police officer is equally responsible or equally bad; nor does it mean that this thing was faked or staged - that’s what I was originally responding to.
Have you ever driven in LA traffic?
Yep
Thanks for the info.
:-D
Presumably there might be a police helicopter or two, though?
Point taken.
I've bought two "cops," and watched too many others walk away from felonies. Like the Mayberry who rolled his car, on I-40, in front of me, gutter crawling drunk, and when his buds showed up they gave him a ride home to sleep it off? One thanked me for stopping to see if I could help.
Or the departments who run ticket traps, or pick out RVs to confiscate, and will return for a small cash fee?
You aren't sorry that I've been "unjustly treated." You're sorry I remember it. I'm a big fan of taking all body armor away, so you don't feel like Clark Kent, and making the issue side arm a revolver, with ONE reload. Might help with the "Us vs All Civilians" attitude. Uvalde has apply demonstrated that getting home for dinner is Job One. (I've been there, by the way. It's the Back End of Beyond. An hour from the nonexistent border.)
As to the OP, this school has had 48 lockdown alerts, THIS YEAR, and no security? The PD and the hoplophobic Communists running that indoctrination factory share the guilt for this horror.
I see the main issue as one of hardening schools as targets. I suspect every school district will come up with different ways to accomplish that. In some cases arming teachers, in others hiring security, or expanding SRO programs making those perhaps more attractive with inducements for trained deputies and officers to sign on.
While I mentioned that one alternative of arming teachers I believe there are probably many approaches that can be tried.
Don’t you ever presume to read my mind. You don’t know me and you are ignorant of my past.

Watching it change over the years.
Oh please...
Your post gave the impression that somehow the shooting was a government encouraged plot .
That’s sick. And wrong
But at this point there is too much incorrect information out for any us to know exactly what happened.
Obviously there was gross incompetency by law enforcement at the least.
It seems the lessons of Columbine were not learned by law enforcement.
And that sucks.
