It’s like the old saying: When seconds count the cops are minutes away. Or hours.

Hard to believe that we don’t have Rambos as school resource officers. Instead we get Barney Fifes.

Yes, no doubt the story will change as we get more information, but we have seen this in almost every instance. Armed citizens tend to stop these things cold with very few casualties. Cops run away, then spend 40 minutes waiting for the shooter to run out of ammo.

It’s the exact opposite of what the media and democrats say will happen.

There was a school resource officer at Columbine High School when the shooters there opened up at arriving students in the courtyard. He immediately took the shooters under fire at about 15-20 yards, over the heads of dozens of screaming, running and crouching students, and the perps returned fire until the officer hit one of their rifle stocks with his service weapon. Then they ran inside to get away from him. He didn't pursue because his department's policy called for him to instead report the incident ASAP and call for backup.

The Columbine officer saved perhaps 8-10 students from being shot in the courtyard. Whether in hindsight he should have immediately pursued the perps, with only his service weapon and limited ammunition after the first engagement, is something to be determined only by God.
