Nobody in that community is sleeping soundly. But police will not blame themselves for the loss of life - although they may blame the restrictions procedures kept them from acting.

It's a real good idea to wait for the investigation. Generally speaking police officers are not going to shoot a kid without warning. In this case all the shots he got off using an Ar 15 in seconds doesn't allow wiggle room....tough call for any officer leading this charge...on backup etc. But they do have a responsibility for protecting their officers as well. Even is war our soldiers have to follow procedures and work as a team 'under fore'.
