Salvador Ramos was named as the 18-year-old high school student and fast-food worker who stormed into classrooms at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, gunning down at least 19 students and two fourth-grade teachers on May 24, 2022.
It was the nation’s deadliest elementary school shooting since the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut. The suspect, who flashed pictures of guns on Instagram, shot his grandmother before entering the school pursued by law enforcement officers, the Associated Press reported. The Uvalde High School student shot children in grades 2 to 4 and two beloved fourth-grade teachers, Irma Garcia and Eva Mireles, to death before being killed by a border patrol agent who had been working nearby and rushed to help, officials said. There are conflicting reports about whether his grandmother is alive.
“As soon as he made entry into the school he started shooting children, teachers, whoever was in his way, he was shooting everybody,” Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Lt. Chris Olivarez said to Daily Beast, which reported that Ramos bought two rifles on his 18th birthday.
Accounts emerged of Ramos being bullied. The Washington Post reported that he spoke with a lisp and endured gay slurs for wearing eyeliner. Another report said he was taunted because of his clothes and family’s finances.
Salvador Rolando Ramos also had a TikTok page with a profile that read, “Kids be scared irl (in real life),” according to CNN. It contained only a clip from a Subway Surfers mobile game, the network reported. His Instagram and TikTok accounts carried the name TheBiggestOpp.
By late evening, the Associated Press reported that officials confirmed at least 21 people, 19 of them children, had died in the shooting.

I was badly bullied in school, taunted for being poor and having old clothes and shoes. Beaten up and had my things ripped and torn. I found if I told jokes they would be so busy laughing I could escape or they wouldn’t hit me. I became the Class clown and hit the books vowing to escape poverty. Looking back, I wonder how I escaped becoming a shooter? Well, things were different back then.
During World War II-—this country lost MANY FATHERS.
I do NOT recall such a reaction from those kids——Losing a father isn’t an excuse...

And in infuriates me that the left blames guns for this and us!
You don’t need a gun to kill people, he could have waited until recess and drove his pickup through the playground and killed just as many!

Then start supporting the police, start supporting jailing criminals, start supporting executing murderers and rapists, start supporting locking up people in mental institutions who are obviously sick and need help instead of pushing them onto the street!
These are REAL changes that could actually help stop this happening again instead of your fairytale where if we ONLY got rid of the guns this would stop!

And there are ENDLESS ways to kill people, lots of people! Heck, you could just fly a plane into a building and kill thousands!!!
STOP trying to think you can stop this by taking away what they currently use to accomplish it, and instead start focusing on how we can remove these types of people from interacting with the rest of us by locking them away forever in jails, mental hospitals, or just executing them!
There are many studies showing that a father lost through death still has positive influence as opposed to a living father who is just absent for whatever reason.
Theories abound, but part of it is that death doesn’t fracture family networks like divorce does. The single mother with multiple baby daddies almost never establishes any extended family relationships and often becomes estranged from most of her own family.

Anyone have a detailed timeline? I ask because I have seen other timelines seem to have omitted the time of the initial call and when responders showed up.
Here is one timeline...Note what is missing.

Aproximately 11 a.m.: Shooter made three social media posts.
One said he was going to shoot his grandmother, the next said he had shot the woman and the third said he was going to shoot up an elementary school.
11:32 a.m.: The shooting was first reported to the police.
11:43 a.m.: School announced it was on lockdown. Police department started sharing information on Facebook.
Police announced on Wednesday that the shooter barricaded himself inside a single classroom and “began shooting anyone that was in his way.”
12:17 p.m.: Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District announced the shooting on Twitter.
12:23 p.m.: The scene was still active. Parents were told to pick up children at Sgt. Willie Deleon Civic Center.
Here is another timeline, and it’s the same thing, no information on the time the first responder arrived on scene...The cops document all that stuff, but it seems to be missing.

11:30 a.m.: According to Sgt. Erick Estrada from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the shooter, armed with a rifle, encounter a police officer. He managed to get past the officer and enter a back door at the school.
11:32 a.m.: Police begin to receive reports of a shooting at the school. Around this time, DHS officials say that the gunman, wearing full body armor, barricaded himself in one of the building’s classrooms. Authorities say that the victims of the shooting were in that one classroom.
11:43 a.m.: The school announced on social media that it is on lockdown because of “gunshots in the area.”

Uvalde CISD Parents:
Please know at this time all campuses are under a Lockdown Status due to gunshots in the area. The students and staff are safe in the buildings. The buildings are secure in a Lockdown Status. 12:17 p.m.: The school posted messages on social media saying, “There is an active shooter at Robb Elementary. Law enforcement is on site. Your cooperation is needed at this time by not visiting the campus. As soon as more information is gathered it will be shared. The rest of the district is under a Secure Status. “
After hearing gunshots, law enforcement officers and teachers “began breaking windows around the school” to try to evacuate those inside.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety Lt. Chris Olivarez, the gunman fired several hundred rounds while he was in the building.
12:38 p.m.: About 30 minutes later, authorities announced that a reunification site has been set up at the SSGT Willie De Leon Civic Center in Uvalde. Parents are told to go there to pick up their children.
1:06 p.m.: The suspect is reported to be in custody, but actually, Ramos had been shot and killed by a U.S. Border Protection agent, a senior Department of Homeland Security official told USA Today on Tuesday night.
