Germany has reportedly supplied Kiev forces with thousands of anti-tank mines on the hopes of slowing down the advance of the Russian military in Ukraine.
In a report released on May 17, Der Spiegel revealed that Germany sent 1,600 DM-12 PARM and 3,000 DM-31 anti-tank mines to Ukraine over the last few weeks.
The German-made DM-12 off-route anti-tank mine, which is mounted on a small tripod, fires a fin stabilized rocket with an effective range of 2 to 40 meters and the ability to penetrate 600 millimeters of armour. The mine incorporates an arming delay of five minutes. It can be detonated either by command or by a fiber-optic trigger cable, which triggers the mine when it is crushed.
DM-12 anti-tank mines have been already spotted in Ukraine. In fact, the Russian military and its allies captured several of them. On May 21, several photos of a recently captured DM-12 mine surfaced online.
The second anti-tank mine, the DM-31, is a German-made copy of the Swedish FFV 028. The DM-31 is a more traditional anti-tank mine.
The mine uses a magnetic influence sensor to detonate, which allows it to attack the full width of the targeted vehicle. When the mine is triggered, a small clearing charge blows away any material that may have been on top of the mine, followed a fraction of a second later by detonation of the main shaped charge.
Supposedly, the mine’s shaped charge can penetrate the belly armour of any tank currently in existence. The DM-31 is yet to be spotted in Ukraine.
Germany moved from the being the main opponent of arming the Kiev regime, to one of its biggest military supporters. Berlin has supplied Kiev forces with loads of weapons, including thousands of anti-tank rockets and anti-aircraft missiles, since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.
Like the rest of Kiev’s Western backers, Germany hopes that its military support will eventually lead to the failure of the Russian special military operation.
Also in the news, as the Ukies are retreating from the Donbass, they are destroying all grain stores, they just blew up tons of grain silos ( 3 million plus tons)…..I do believe they know the Donbass will get their Independence.

It is fair to say Ukraine is giving up a small amount of territory for large amount of Russian corpses. The Russian Army losses are not sustainable. It takes a year to conscript and adequately train troops. 9 months if you rush it but send them out a bit unprepared.
The coalition of Putin friendly Fascist and Communist in Italy want Ukraine to give up 15% of their territory for temporary peace. Italy can give Russia Sicily instead.
Ukraine has captured large amounts of Russian tanks and weapons. Russia has captured Ukrainian weapons. Such is war.

Now that a good part of their territory is lost, perhaps Ukraine will be able to stand up to the Neocons and EU and try to negotiate an end to the operation.

Can you be more obvious of your bias? You specifically call the invasion of a sovereign nation a “special military operation,” just as your hero Vlad did? Did Vlad give you a copy of his talking points, or did you just memorize them from your favorite CD: “Vlad’s Greatest Hits!”

Fact is, the Donbass is lost ( or won , depending whom you may support), the Ukies are having much trouble supplying that front, Vlad is doing very well in destroying the rail and road supply lines, and the Ukies are getting pretty ground down after 70 days of continuous 24/7 artillery.
The Ukie Regional Provincal Guard units are not being rotated out, ordered to hold, pounded by artillery, whereas Ivan units are being rotated in /out.
That said, when the Donbass pocket is closed, the Ukies have to retreat all the way back across the plains ( they will have no defensive positions on the wide open plains- per Ukie MOD) to the Dniepner River, and pray Vlad doesn’t decide to blow the dozen bridges trapping them.
That, my friend will signal the end and the little beggar Zelensky WILL have to get to the table and start saving lives and infrastructure.
