In the 1800's, there were lots of guns in the country. Even carried/used by teenagers. There was also a LOT of nasty political disagreement then. Even "duals" to settle disagreements.

In today's United States - there are a lot of guns in the country. Even carried/used by teenagers. There is also a LOT of nasty political disagreement. However, now we see so many murders (near daily in Chicago, Baltimore, etc) and these "mass shooting" events.
Why? What changed?
In my view, the single biggest reason is because a large percentage of people in this country have become immoral. And that is due, primarily, to the removal of religion from so many lives and the open season mocking of Christianity.

When I went to high school in rural Texas, we carried guns in our vehicles if we had a vehicle. During hunting season, it was no big deal to carry a long gun inside the school and keep it in our locker so we could walk down the highway after school to a prime hunting area and hunt until dark. A few of the teachers would go with us on occasion. Not once was there ever a shootout in the lunch room or on the basketball court.
Good post, I have been thinking the same way. God is ridiculed more than any time that I can recall. Pray for guidance.
