Days later, Heide asked Raynor about where the allegations came from. Raynor asked J.P. where the info came from that initiated the case and he ended up speaking with Moffa. Moffa told him the allegation had come from Michael Sussmann who had provided it to Baker.
Moffa noted Sussmann was an attorney for DNC. Raynor said he understood that Sussmann was affiliated with Dem party but had come representing himself. Moffa said FBI leadership had put a close hold on the info, meaning the field couldn’t know who provided it.
