Nothing against those being honored, but let’s remember this was a knee jerk reaction to a media/activist narrative about George Floyd and alleged racism.
Prosecution calls Jared Novick who worked at BlueVoyant and BitVoyant.
Novick and Rodney Joffe were business partners.
Novick spends months-long minutes explaining his company’s relationships with other companies, including Packet Forensics. The bottom line is Joffe said on the board and tasked BitVoyant to look into Trump Organization DNS data in the summer of 2016.

We’re looking a picture of a bunch of folks, including Joffe, Novick and April Lorenzen.
In August of 2016, Joffe asked Novick to research data related to Donald Trump and Russia. “The whole thing to me felt like opposition research,” Novick said.
Novick received tasking from joffe that included names of individuals and email addresses and names of Russian companies. “Immediately I knew it was a political request,” he said. The document referenced Carter Page and Richard Burt.
Novick said he was “uncomfortable” with the tasking but after consulting with a board member, Victor, they decided to move forward. He asked Laurie Stotler (sp?) and Laurie Yagerman and Michael Spencer to help. They called the project was “crimson rhino.”
On 8/15/16, Novick provided the requested data (at least some of it) to Zachary Kanner, Victor Oppleman and Rodney Joffe.
Berkowitz on cross. This could get interesting.
Novick said that Joffe was respected in some quarters and not in others. Said he had falling out with Paul Vixie.
Berkowitz: “You don’t like Mr. Joffe much do you?”
Novick said he had a “difficult relationship” with Joffe. Joffe thought Novick could do a better job at CEO.

That is, Joffe SAT on the board. In August 2016, Joffe “tasks me and I received a PDR document and in that document there was a handful—five, seven—names of individuals, their spouses, their personal emails, addresses ... it was very personal .

Novick is shocked by 302 agents took. Denies he said something in the 302.

The PDF included “names of Russian companies, Russian affiliations, some names that seemed foreign to me and some names I recognized in the news so immediately I knew it to be a political request,” Novick said. First name: Carter Page

Algor on redirect. Pause. Judge talking with lawyers.
Novick excused.
Cooper has called it a day. Prosecution closes case Wednesday with Durham paralegal Kori Arsenault serving as summary witness. Algor said testimony will be “a demonstration” of “100 exhibits, one-after-another.” That was greeted by gasps, a Berkowitz objection
Upon hearing of the prosecution’s plan to parade 100 exhibits through his courtroom, Cooper said he was “somewhat frustrated” they “didn’t address this” earlier. Both set of attorneys agreed to work tonight on trimming them back.
When the defense makes its case beginning Thursday morning the latest, Berkowitz said he will call former New York Times writer Eric Licthblau, FBI agent Tom Grasso, Tasha Gauhar, and “some character witnesses.”
If all goes well, that leaves Friday for both sides to make 1-to-1 1/2 hour closing arguments so that Cooper can leave by 2 pm for a prior commitment (otherwise known as the three-day Memorial Day weekend).
