The chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) blamed White supremacy for last week's shooting at a Dallas Korean hair salon, but the suspect charged with carrying out the attack is Black.
Rep. Joyce Beatty, D-Ohio, made the claim at a Thursday press conference outside the Capitol that saw House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., in attendance.
"On Monday, three people in a Korean-owned hair salon in Dallas were gunned by yet another White supremacy replacement theorist," Beatty said to the assembled crowd.
In addition to botching the date of the shooting, Beatty got a key detail wrong about the "White supremacy replacement theorist" charged with attacking the Dallas salon: the suspect is Black.

Every distraction is designed to divert from the economic mess created under the Democratic leadership of our nation since 2021.
People suffering from inflation, high energy prices, shortages, etc. are going to vote based on the economy, not the accusation that their neighbor is a racist.

What we need to understand is that White Supremacist Theory is so powerful that even blacks, mexicans, and asians engage in white supremacist acts.
Black youths shooting each other in Chicago? White Supremacist.
Mexican drug gangs murdering each other? White Supremacist.
That’s why we need brave warriors like this woman protecting us from this unrecognized danger. She is a true hero, and that is why our noble press is giving her voice. I sleep better knowing that our press is enlightened and educates people like me who are not smart enough to understand this risk.
And not one person corrected her? They know they can get away with their lies.
