Personally, I think God is behind all these gaffes. He is about to bring justice.

Agreed. But most people are too asleep to see it.
A lot of people believe that the rise of modern science and Technology over the last 150 years is proof that religion is archaic and irrelevant, and something people clung to in a more primitive time.
But The Bible says that in the end times people will drift away from God. So this secular hubris is actually evidence of the Bible’s relevance. But they can’t permit themselves to see that, as it flies in the face of everything they’ve ever believed.
