For reference, I took a gander at the University of Phoenix's curriculum. Two of the twelve classes had something to do with financial matters: budgeting and finance. The rest were word salad, worthy of analysis by the likes of Heel's Up Harris.

When I was a 25 year old 1st Lieutenant, I was the Battalion Supply Officer (S-4) for my ADA Battalion. With my accounting degree, the job suited me nicely. Nobody screwed with us when it came to financial management, and I guess the word got out.
During my 18 month stint, I was tabbed to represent my major command in the negotiation of the Interservice Support Agreement with the Air Force (we were on Spangdahlem AB). The Spangdahlem OFficers Wives Club (do they still exist?) asked me to audit two years' worth of their financial records.
Maybe I should have pursued an MPA...lol, no way, Jose. I'm now 68, working as a bookkeeper for a great family in Grapevine. The title doesn't matter, they like the job I'm doing for them, and that's all that matters. No stress, except for what I put on my shoulders. I think I've seen my boss in person 10 times in 10 months.
