Hi.
I could analyze this war from an Army War college perspective (i.e. strategic objectives, attrition, battle space management, logistics, personnel etc), but I won’t.
What I see here is it’s December 1962 and the Bears are playing the Packers.
At Lambeau Field it’s snowing and 10f.
It’s 5 minutes into the 3rd quarter and the Bears lead 3-0. Packers have the ball on their own 20yd line.
Game could go either way.

It would be a good analogy if the loudest group of fans got to change the rules of the game every five minutes.
;-)
(Hint: Who gets to decide what “winning” is?)
I would prefer War College analysis to the sophomoric BS that discussing Ukraine has lately attracted.
I agree with the football analogy. And wishing we had Jim Thorpe. Punt it 80 yards in a snowstorm and run out the clock. But I have limited knowledge, and don’t see how to restore the status quo as of February 22, 2022.
In your opinion, is an E. Luttwak approach more appropriate to strategic objectives, attrition, battle space management, logistics, personnel etc? Or is the approach outlined in FM 21-76 the most one can hope to achieve?
