As my colleague Jennifer Oliver O’Connell reported earlier, the media hasn’t been paying the same kind of attention to the Laguna Woods shooting in California as they have to the shooting in Buffalo, New York. Perhaps because it doesn’t serve the narrative that they want to make about who mass shooters are.
In this case, authorities are saying that it was a politically motivated hate attack by a Chinese immigrant who had a political grievance against people from Taiwan

Swalwell was one of many politicians who associated with suspected Chinese spy Fang Fang (who also went by Christine Fang), but most were lower level officials—mayors or local council members— according to an extensive Axios report detailing Fang’s infiltration of American political circles.
Fang helped raise funds for Swalwell’s 2014 House re-election campaign, and had an intern hired to Swalwell’s Congressional office after receiving her recommendation.
Fang reportedly continued work as a “bundler” for Swalwell, convincing high-money donors to write big checks for the campaign, before unexpectedly leaving the U.S. in mid-2015 after living in the country for four years, amid an ongoing U.S. intelligence investigation into her activities.
Did Swallwell tip her off that she was being investigated ??? Somehow the Chinese knew enough to yank her out of the US when our intelligence services got on her trail. How did they find out ??
