About ten years ago, a buddy of mine at work said, “If someone breaks into my house, I’ll just stab them,” when I asked if he kept a gun near him at all times.
I told him, “Home invaders these days seem to be working in teams. You gonna stab five or six large dudes half your age?”
Took him a while, but he has guns stationed in key areas of his house now.
I am NEVER without a dog.
Their hearing & attitude of “THIS IS MY TERRITORY & YOU ARE NOT WELCOME” is MY first line of alert & defense.
After that-—MY attitude gets involved & they won’t like the outcome.
