LOL, beat me to the punch. Perhaps the coroner will show two causes of death: lead poisoning and Covid.

Their hearing & attitude of “THIS IS MY TERRITORY & YOU ARE NOT WELCOME” is MY first line of alert & defense.
After that-—MY attitude gets involved & they won’t like the outcome.
The two will face level 2 felony murder charges for the deaths of their fellow burglars. Depending on the competency of the trial judge, they might get anywhere from time served to 30 years.

They also target places where they expect to find money or sellable property.
Reminds me of a case many years ago over in Indian Territory when two men invaded a house planning to rob it.
It just so happened the person in the house had just cleaned and loaded his rifle, and still had it in his hands when they burst through the door.

In New Jersey the homeowner would likely be charged with murder for the crime of being prepared (that means the shootings were premeditated) to fight off invaders, and the crime of holding the others at gunpoint (brandishing a firearm).
