The former head of the pro-Russian OPP party faction in the Rada, and now the head of the platform for life and peace parliamentary group, Yuriy Boyko, was summoned for questioning by the State Bureau of Investigation (GBR) on Monday, May 16. The politician was supposed to give evidence in the case of the "Kharkiv agreements".

OBOZREVATEL learned about this from its own sources. According to the source, there was a possibility that Boyko might be declared suspicious.

However, he did not appear for questioning at the bureau.

Recall:

-the so-called Kharkiv agreements were signed on April 21, 2010 in Kharkiv by Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. They assumed that Ukraine was actually leasing Crimea to the Russian Black Sea Fleet indefinitely, for which Moscow gave Kiev a discount on gas in the form of cancellation of customs duties.

-Thus, according to the agreements, the period of stay of the Black Sea fleet of the Russian Federation in Sevastopol was extended from 2017 to 2042 with an automatic extension for another 5 years, unless either side expresses objections.

-The ratification of the Kharkiv agreements was submitted to the Parliament of the VI convocation on April 27, 2010, and this meeting was one of the most scandalous in Ukrainian history.

-The Kharkiv agreements were ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the State Duma of the Russian Federation on April 27, 2010.

-On March 11, 2021, the national security and Defense Council instructed to check whether the ratification of the Kharkiv agreements by 236 people's deputies in 2010 was high treason.

-In July 2021, the SBU summoned five people's deputies for questioning in the scandalous case, who were also people's deputies in 2010, when the Rada ratified the "agreements". Among them was Yuriy Boyko.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the faction of the pro – Kremlin political party "opposition platform-for life" in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has stopped working. Its activities were stopped in accordance with the decision of the national security and Defense Council.

Former deputies of the faction created a new parliamentary group in the parliament called "platform for life and peace" (PZHM). It includes 23 deputies headed by Boyko, in particular Oleg Voloshin and Nestor Shufrich, who were included in the list of collaborators by the Chesno movement.
