It was a school assignment where the shooter was basically asked where they see themselves in five years. The shooter responded "murder/suicide." Law enforcement can do nothing with that. At most a psych eval can be ordered.

I wonder if a psych eval was ordered, that would be the proper course of action.

NY State Police took him into custody after the school reported his comments, and they brought him to the hospital for an evaluation. But that’s seemingly where it ended. This was in June 2021.
