The shooter never made an actionable threat to shoot up a school. It’s strange to me that freedom-loving FReepers would want someone locked up for life because they made a vague threat that was not criminal in nature.

I never said he should be locked up for life for his threat, I'd like more detail about it and whether it was a Red Flag. As for this recent shooting, I also don't want him locked up for life, I want the death penalty.

It was a school assignment where the shooter was basically asked where they see themselves in five years. The shooter responded "murder/suicide."

Law enforcement can do nothing with that. At most a psych eval can be ordered. And yes, death penalty. But taxpayers will pay to keep this parasite alive for the next 70 years. I hope someone takes care of him in prison.
