I do not believe we have always been thus, but in about the last century, and certainly after WWII, we have become the great Babylon. It is heartbreakingly sad to see imperialistically corrupt we have become.
Except on Memorial Day and Veterans Day, I cannot get myself to fly the flag in front of my home and admit that.
Yeah I shouldn’t have said we were always like that, after WW2 and more specifically the last couple of decades is when we really started going down that road. I foolishly kept thinking that as the last war would end people would see how much was spent for what would seem like little or no advantage, and we would ease up on these various interventions, but that certainly hasn’t been the case. If anything it has just gotten worse. I know a few people who travel extensively and when people inquire where they’re from they pretend to be Canadians just to avoid any possible negativity lol.
