Bravo...you understand the principles of k through 12 education. A teacher at that level is there to teach how to use tools to further education toward becoming a productive citizen. Reinventing the language is not doing that, it is changing our system of freedom of speech which is not part of the curriculum or definition of primary education. If the kids are improperly using a word, then show the definition to the child and not prosecute them. The school is not there to teach kids how to be punished destroying their self esteem and confidence in the learning process. The fault here is the school, not the student. There are no bad students in primary education when it goes wrong, just bad teachers.

And the parents should be up in arms with the obvious failure of a system that fails to perform its duties...teach not harm the process.

they are up in arms.., schools are not law enforcement and have no right to charge a student with anything. the educrats need to be fired, tared and featherd and hung.
