To my eyes, Disneyland seems to be doing a bait-and-switch with their top tier annual passholders. Institute a procedure that requires a reservation in addition to a paid ticket for admission. Sell annual passes that promise admission every day of the year. Then refuse to allow reservations for the annual pass holders, stating no space available, while still selling daily tickets to others,

Great to see a disgusting company like Disney committing suicide. Wait until all the funds that hold their stock sue them for violation of fiduciary responsibility.

When all the pension funds are underwater, the long knives will come out.

Airlines pull similar scams with accrued flying miles. Only 2 seats per flight are set aside for reward miles.

They should be sued for grooming kids for perverted reasons.

Did the fine print of the contract for the annual pass allow it? Was the full contact available before purchase?

Was this covid related, or not covid related? Bad either way of course, but if not covid related then almost completely fraudulent.

I don’t know why anyone would buy such a thing, but if you fork over almost $1400 to be able to go to Disney any day, you better be able to go to Disney any day, or what’s the point?

Last time I went to Disneyland was 1984. I’ll never go to a tourist trap again in my life.

Disney has taken the position that Disneyland has the power to artificially limit theme park reservations and decide when to make Dream Key passholder reservations available or unavailable, according to the response from Nielsen’s attorneys.

Liberals are not detail persons. They change the agreement as they see fit. I suspect they forgot to put that in the fine print.

Fine print and details are their weakness and we need to use it. Catch them in the details of their lies and don’t let go...................

Sounds like a scam. Not that I haven’t seen these things before. Disney has a reputation for having good lawyers but if I was on a jury seeing a bait and switch, I’d not be moved by their quibbling over fine details.

True, but it’s really worse. They have parks/rides with absolutely finite capacity and routinely are way over that capacity. In the 1990s, they managed the load through long lines that had stated wait times; then introduced the “fast pass” which only increased the wait times of those who didn’t have it; then they had something else that was to grant you several of the “big” rides provided you showed up at the right time.

They are deceptive and misleading; but honestly I don’t know what they can possibly do to handle capacity. Disneyland especially is a small park, even with the (Pay extra) Kollyfornia Adventure. FL parks are spread out, and there are four of them, so it’s a little easier.

We were in Disneyland just before the China Virus. Got on every ride we wanted, usually no more than an hour wait (Matterhorn, Space Mountain). Rides that constantly moved, like Haunted Mansion usually had wait times of 20-30 minutes. Matterhorn has some of the lowest capacity, despite two tracks, because I think each bobsled only holds 6, although they may have expanded them to hold a few more. I think Space Mountain ships hold 12-16. They took out the sub ride because among other things it was absolutely the lowest capacity ride and the slowest to load.

I’ve been going to Disneyland once a year for the past quarter century. The fine print of all their tickets and programs always discloses Disneyland can do basically whatever they want. It’s buyer beware.
