If I recall, Tops was strong armed into opening a store in that part of the city. Tops is the major supermarket in Western New York, and it is one of the few that has bars on the windows and an off duty police officer employed there as a ‘security guard’. I am not making judgements here. Just telling you some facts.
fhyek is correct. The other is Wegmans. As far as ‘the hood’ is concerned, if that Tops were to close, you’d have a major food desert in the middle of the city...
... just what you need as food shortages get worse.
