The suburban women voters have been identified as the major factor in our 2018 and 2020 losses. With nowhere else to go, no record to point to, the Democrats are trying to hold the suburban women around Philadelphia and Pittsburgh with the abortion hysteria. The Democrats themselves understand the importance of this demographic voting block.
Barnett's comments are defensible. Those of us who have decried the insidious but metastasizing influence of The Frankfurt School and its lethal spawn, critical theory and critical race theory, have no difficulty in asserting that Islam is an equally dangerous existential threat because it is an assault on rationalism, a denial of reason, the Renaissance, the Enlightenment and, ultimately, the scientific method. Both are cults.
As to the gay community, these comments should be understood in the context of the time especially that context among African-Americans, such as Joy Read, who to this day are outspoken in their dislike of homosexual practice and homosexuals themselves. To say that acceptance of homosexuality has eased the way toward pedophilia is hardly a stretch when one considers what is going on in the schools and the Disney case.
But as defensible as these remarks are, the question is do we want to win a debate or do we want to win a Senate seat? Your arguments to the effect that Barnette will be skewered by the media and defeated in the general election are on point.
I have once posted that the choice between Oz and McCormick seem to be a choice between one whose social values are unacceptable and one whose Chinese connections are unacceptable. As between the two, when forced, I will choose Oz because our existential threat is from China and we must devest ourselves of Chinese control of every American institution.
As one often accused of being a practicing misogynist, I am perhaps not qualified to opine but in my judgment women will swoon over Oz who is telegenic, experienced in the ways of television, knows how to manipulate the medium, and can carry females in the burbs.
