GOP Senate: Can Kathy Barnette Pull It Out?
Politics PA ^ | May 9, 2022 | Steve Ulrich

Posted on 05/09/2022 4:47:44 PM PDT by AmericaFirst101

Conservative commentator Kathy Barnette has made a meteoric rise into a statistical tie atop the leaderboard according to the latest Trafalgar Group poll of 1,080 likely Republican voters. While Oz received the most support at 24.5 percent and McCormick was not far off the pace at 21.6, Barnette slid into the second position at 23.2 percent and with a margin of error at +/-2.99%, the race is a statistical dead heat.

(snip)

“I think Barnette’s rise is based on two factors,” said Stephen Medvic, Director of the Center for Politics and Public Affairs at Franklin & Marshall College. “The first is that the two leading candidates do not currently have deep support. Oz has a higher disapproval than approval rating, and more people say they “don’t know” if they approve/disapprove of McCormick than approve of him. Neither of them unequivocally appeals to the base of the party. This creates an opening for another candidate.”

“The numerous and persistent attacks that McCormack and Oz have hit each other with have taken a toll on their standing, opening the door for alternatives,” said Chris Borick, professor of political science at Muhlenberg College. “Barnette, who is a fixture in conservative media, has been able to establish herself as a viable option. Despite not getting Trump’s endorsement, she has full MAGA credentials. Thus for voters that still follow Trump but don’t agree with his Oz endorsement, she may be a better option than McCormack who Trump himself has claimed is not MAGA.”

Happy to see Kathy at #2 in the new poll. She's on the rise.

I'm in PA and will be voting for Oz, but would be very happy with Barnette taking the primary, too.

Fetterman will win the Democratic primary. He's going to be tough to defeat in the general election. The GOP needs to put its best foot forward here, and that means Hedge Fund McCormick has to be sent packing.

If she loses, does Erdogan get to decide the votes in the Senate?

lol

Oz said he’ll renounce his Turkish citizenship if he wins (not sure if he means the general or the primary).

I think he’s got a mom over there with Alzheimer’s that he helps out.

As long as the Bushies are out, I’m good. Erdogan won’t be doing anything.

IF?? You would vote for someone who will only renounce their foreign citizenship if they are elected?

I’m going with Oz unless there’s some revelation that no one expected. He has my vote. The next year or three it’s going to be very ugly and I’m going with the person with the testosterone.

“Oz has maintained that he served in Turkey’s military as a young man to keep his dual citizenship. He keeps it to this day, he said, so he has legal power in Turkey to make health care decisions for his mother, who has Alzheimer’s disease.”

His mom is like 84 years old and is ill.

If he gets elected, he gives up the citizenship and he loses the ability to directly help his mother.

Yeah, I’m not giving up that ability, either, unless I have to.

No, Never Trumpers cannot win, plus she likely cannot win in November.

I listened to that earlier today she’s good she’s very good. But I’m having a hard time with her wanting to build a statue to Barry the first. And I also feel the going is going to get very very tough in the next three years. And I’m going with the testosterone. I also know that Oz knows not to stray off the reservation. It’s a lot easier to get a guy in a room and read him the riot act. I have more faith in a man giving me his word that I do a woman.

I’d take MTGs word over any man in congress now. We all know OZ is a snake but I hope I’m wrong.

I hope you’re wrong also. But I feel so much better about taking a guy in a room and reading him the riot act for Fing up. And it’s so much easier to get results with a guy. I keep thinking about Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski. Sure wish they weren’t there and Lisa is about to be done in.

I’ll be voting Barnette. Bartos is the only man running against her who cares about Pennsylvania like she does. And he’s not going anywhere for some reason.
She can beat Fetterman walking away. I’m tired of the GOPe telling me who will win the general. I trust none of them. Give me an outsider…!

1. He’s Trump’s guy

2. I think he has the best chance in the general
