Legally we have been at war with Russia since we provided direct arms to a belligerent in a conflict and yet again when the USA committed economic acts of war against Russia an economic blockade is by it’s very.definition an international act of war. Yes we were at a state of war during Vietnam and Korea it is not up to the third party in a proxy war if they are in a state of war with a belligerent it is 100% up to the aggrieved party how they take the acts of war against them. Like it or not the USA is in a state of war with Russia period full stop if they decide that the acts against them demand direct action they are fully in their rights under the law of war to strike back and it’s only a matter of time before they do. I would not be surprised at all if they light off a tactical nuke over Ukraine to demonstrate one they work and two they will use them. NATO will do exactly Jack sh1t about a low yield tacnuke taking out a port or factory district no way NATO.risks Brussels or Berlin for Kiev not happening regardless what the chicken hawks here say NATO will not use nukes they lack the stones for it.
Well I agree with most of what you say. Not sure I’d agree with Russia using a tactical nuke over Ukraine. Is that sort of escalation worth Ukraine?

Asymmetric. Russia cannot reasonably engage the US directly.
- Battlefield nukes in Ukraine
- Sabotage in NATO staging areas
- Sink a few NATO subs in the Med and Baltic
And continue up the escalation ladder until NATO is faced with the stark choice of backing off to live, or dying to prove a point.

NATO will NOT respond militarily to tactical nukes in Ukraine. Except to withdraw.
European NATO will demand it.
