The next step we might see within this war, is the Ukrainians firing upon the bridge connecting the Crimea to Russia. That happens we will get to see how well a tactical nuclear weapon works upon a major city within Western Ukraine.

Won’t happen, the Ukies have about 12 -16 bridges ( different weight loads) across the Dniepner River which split Ukraine in half from Kiev to the South. Vlad has shown much restraint in not blowing all those bridges, thus isolating the eastern provinces and Donbass.
What would happen to the US if all the bridges collapsed on our Mississippi River? Same would happen to Ukraine, but worse.
That said, Vlad has blown all the the bridges west of Odessa, preventing the Ukies from receiving needed war fuel/ supplies from Romania. Even western MSM reported that, but failed to mention that has been how the Ukies were receiving their war fuel from Romania.
IF, as you say, the Ukies attempt to blow the massive bridges to Crimea, all their Dniepner bridges will be destroyed overnight.Keep your eyes on those Dniepner bridges, when they go, it’s virtually over for the Ukies, and they know it. Vlad still has yet to take his gloves off and tighten the screws.
Fact is Vlad has shown much restraint, and continues to checkmate the Ukies, slowly and costly, but surely.
That talking point seems to re-surface every time Putin's invasion of Ukraine and destruction of the homes of many innocent people stalls out. I guess we are seeing some kind of 9D checkers where getting your army mauled and your ships sunk is the path to victory.
Supposedly Putin's plan for the Donbass battle was to encircle the Ukrainians and defeat them. The Russians have succeeded in moving forward about 25 miles on both sides of their attack in an effort to surround an area about the size of Connecticut since they started their attack.
Today they are actually losing some of that territory, and Ukrainian artillery shells are landing within about 1/2 mile of Izium. Such a military success! Their troops will be under Ukrainian artillery barrages in a day or so in the place they counted on to launch the rest of their attack from.
