Bush is just being a jerk now. I don't think he has recognized that he is doing that. He is probably so concerned about getting approval from the liberal elite so he doesn't care what the base thinks of him. Also, his wife and his daughters are all liberal so that's not helping either.

At least Bush was an oil man so that was good. He wasn't crazy on the "green" stuff unlike Gore or Kerry if they became President.

I liked his energy policies, so IMO Bush is better than democrat Presidents.

I also supported getting Bin Laden & getting revenge for 9-11.

However, his asshole behavior by not supporting and going to the Republican Convention in 2016, was a “bye bye Bush moment” for me.

Bush is irrelevant in the Trump MAGA era.
