DeSantis says he’ll bring constitutional carry to Florida before he leaves office

Gov. Ron DeSantis said Friday that he will sign a bill allowing constitutional carry in Florida before he leaves the governor’s office.

Right now, people need concealed weapons permits to walk around with a gun in Florida. Constitutional carry means that permit requirement goes away.

Lol! It makes perfect sense.

If you believed your “permanently rigged” mantra then you’d take my bet.

You don’t, so you won’t.

I already own property in Florida, so there is nothing that you can do about that either.

How does it feel to be so powerless?

TN is permitless, with the same requirements of Permits. I’ve a Live Time Permit. Lee if he survives our Wrath, over the Parental Rights bill making porn shown in schools to kids a crime, and Licences for Non US Citizens for jobs, Americans need. Wants to lower to 18.

It’s understandable. FDR is the reason for the two terms.
Apparently he thought more of himself than George Washington.

Won’t you still need the permit to bypass the 3 day wait period.

That's the main reason I maintain mine in Texas. Also the permit helps in states that have reciprocity.

"I’d prefer DeSantis, but will vote for Trump if he’s the nominee."

I'm with you. It's obvious that President Trump has way too much baggage that the MSM and socialist politicians will bleat about every waking moment. Plus, the TDS is still there. I think that Trump should be a background player (advisor) for candidate DeSantis. Trump should not run and endorse DeSantis for the primaries.

I can imagine the record-breaking rallies Trump and DeSantis would have in the primaries and once DeSantis wins the primary into the general election. Who is going to run against that combination? Who has the record to beat DeSantis' conservative accomplishments in Florida?

Is a long way off and who knows what the socialist/commies will find or make up about DeSantis?

I don’t think Trump would ever play second fiddle.
Anyone being honest would admit that Trump has a massive ego.

"Trump did ok. He was about on HW Bush level for achievements, I believe."

Trump did wonderfully beyond HW or W achievement level. Since he wasn't a DC politician, he made some bad choices in hiring. However, he turned our Nation around before the Covid mess, and he would have even dealt with it better than Biteme's handlers.

I'm not going to list Trump's achievements. You know what they were, all the time fighting insane Dem/Socialist/Commie attacks.

There has never been a Florida Governor who aggressively pushed for Constitutional Carry.

RINOs in the Florida Senate have had to resort to parliamentary tactics to stop the bills (the committee it was referred to never votes on it, for example).

With DeSantis pushing for it, those sort of fig leaf tactics will not work.

It is getting to the point where DeSantis could beat Trump in 2024 in the primary.

I want some of what you are smoking!

Must be some good stuff!

Do you really believe that after President Trump has gone 55-0 in his 2022 endorsements?
