One of the main reasons I supported Donald Trump in 2016 was because he had a better Russian policy than Obama/Clinton. In the world then being born, I thought (and I still do think) a rapprochement with Russia would have been in our interest.
One of the main reasons Levin was such a furious never-Trumper (I used to listen to him in 2015-2016) was his hatred of Russia, and of Putin (which he always pronounced Pyew-Tin). It was one of the few subjects that got Levin raving mad.
I suppose he still feels that way.
