It's unfortunate and a little surprising how divided Free Republic has become over this war, I don't remember this level of division on many other issues. (Except for open GOP Presidential Primaries perhaps?)
My purpose in posting this is to privide Freepers with access to rare primary-source documentation on the war, and should not be used to infer or imply my support for either side in the conflict. Mostly I see the war as a terrible thing for the innocent families caught in the middle of it.
Try to keep the comments and discourse between ourselves respectful, as is required by the forum, and as Free Republic has a long tradition of maintaining respectful discourse.

Weird to think that Sea of Azov has an average of 23 feet depth, and many of the bays and areas close to shore are 3 to 5 feet. Ships stick to main channels that are dredged. But it’s not a body of water you can operate in normally.

I don’t believe it. Russia lost 500,000 troops, and the Ukes beat them back on every front. Grandmas were knocking down Russian bombers with flower pots, for crying out loud.
If I were VZ, I’d be sending a relief column to Mariupol, if he can spare one, so the fighting probably isn’t over. Not hardly. It’s too important a port.
Bitchute is Russian propaganda. I stand with Ukraine. The FR Russia lovers would have objected to sending arms to Great Britain to fight Germany during WWII.
I thought Russia was losing and was being beaten back all the way to the Kremlin.
