I went to the CDC website on at least two occasions, one of which was September of 2020. Looked for proof that masks work.
They listed a bunch of studies, many with links. The studies showed that masks caught droplets. The studies did not show what happened to the droplets after they were caught. The studies did not show what happened to the wearer after the droplets were caught. Most importantly, the studies did not show that masks stopped transmission of the virus.
We were told over and over again how many cases there were. How many people died, particularly every time we passed another grim milestone. (Except when Biden was in office. Did you hear when we passed 1 million? I didn’t). We heard efficacy in the high 90s. We heard the unvaccinated were 11 times more likely to die than the vaccinated.
Yet we never heard how much masks reduced transmission. We never heard how much obesity was a risk factor. We never heard about how much vitamin D reduced risk, let alone HCQ or Ivermectin. Or how much the vaccines cost. Or how much the advertising cost. Or how much the extra payments to hospitals for Covid diagnoses cost.
WOW, all good points. It demonstrates the ineptitude of government. “trust us” really isn’t good enough.
