Supposedly the Ukrainians hit the Moskva with two Neptune missiles. Each has a payload of ~330kg so let’s say that both missiles really did hit the ship if Ivan is spun up on damage control then the ship should survive and make it to port.

It’ll probably be out of action for a while but unless the Russians pooch the damage control effort it should survive.

“Ivan is spun up on damage control then the ship should survive and make it to port.”

Considering the state of their army’s equipment I’m not sure I’d take that bet.

Luck plays a big part. A hit in a magazine or a hit in crew berthing.

More than half of the American-made 500LB bombs the Argies planted deep into British warships in the Falklands war failed to detonate.

If they had, and had ten or so British warships been sunk or put out of action, history might have been a bit different.

There is still so much to learn. Plus, who fired the “Neptune missiles?” Really?

It’s a proxy war, after all.

Have you taken into account the two solid fuel boosters of each of the sixteen 5.3 ton P-500 Bazalt missiles the Moskva carried on her deck?
