Why can’t Florida find a Senate candidate that doesn’t want to give amnesty to illegal aliens and a permanent majority to Democrats?

Rubio is the establishment candidate. If someone won the primary they would actively work to undercut them. Remember what they did to Col. West.

Good question. Probably some of the same reasons that your senators are. Tim Kaine especially is a real gem. Warner is a bit of a squish on that subject, too, so you obviously have some work to do in your own backyard. You ask this question repeatedly on Florida-based threads, not sure why, but the question is a fair one, and one I've pondered myself.

Rubio actually rates pretty highly with conservative show hosts like Dan Bongino, who put him in the top ten, although on immigration, particularly latino immigration, he's got a bad case of ethnic sympathy there. Plus business. Big business can't get enough cheap labor. That's an old problem, but still very much in force today.

Scott... not sure. He might feel the pull of big biz's gravity, or just use immigration as a sop to get some 'bipartisanship' going (yeah, fat chance, I know). I do know he was an very effective and conservative governor here in Florida before moving to the Swamp, with the exception being that knee-jerk reaction to the 2018 Parkland shooting. And he's an NRA member. Go figure.

We are working on these things -- those old influences aren't as powerful here in the Sunshine State as they used to be; we have become progressively (pun intended) more conservative, and in time that hopefully will bring our good Senators closer to our goals and values. In the meanwhile, you work on getting rid of that Tim Kaine fellow. Deal?

I have included the Florida FReeper list on this reply, so good people, if you can add to this discussion, please do. And thanks!
