The care about us! They really care!

“…make America less dependent on foreign oil” — just a year ago, we had ZERO dependence on foreign oil. Did something change?

Funny how the marxists don’t say “Follow the science” and “We are the party of science” when they put out these physically impossible goals.

I love being ruled by dictators and their “agencies”. It eliminates all that messy debate stuff that goes on with those that we supposedly elect as our “representatives”. Government by the people for the people. Self determination my ass.

I doubt my motorcycle even gets 49 MPG.

EVs are going to run into a brick wall soon. Raw materials have increased 700% in a year, battery recycling is going to become an issue, and grid infrastructure will not support them en-masse. Just like every leftist diktat, unworkable in real life. One of the worst offshoots of this is the ping-ponging of the auto industry. Development lead times are more than 3 years. This constant moving target every term is asinine.

It all depends on whether the Democrates are allowed to manipulate the mid-terms as they did 2020 andtried to do 2016. Each time they gain eperience and each succeeding time they get better at suppressing opposition to their chicanery. The Republicans are less than eager to make the voting secure and true but are rather adjusting themselves to living in the Total Democrat State.

Then when everyone has an elecrocar there will not be enough power in the grid to charge them. Green means will have to crowd out most other uses of the land surface in order to keep the Elite’s cars all running not to mention their electric air transport.

Not just war on the auto industry. The war on plastics is not much spoken of but the elimination of fossil fuels eliminates plastic, too. What part of our civilization does not rely on plastics for its existence?

Oh this is easy. Just create a program to take back fuel hogs and replace them with Electric Vehicles at taxpayer expense.

They're already building the public shaming culture to enforce it, too. The test runs against people who resisted kowtowing to BLM and/or balked at wearing Fauci's face diapers were very successful. Release the Karen!

What it is... is a means to eliminate gas powered vehicles. This is designed to force EV’s.

Personally, I don’t think that misuse of the commerce clause “gives them near-unlimited power” any more than leaving one’s door unlocked “gives burglars the right to take your stereo”. Sure, the one thing facilitates the other, but, both cases ought to be seen as both morally and legally wrong.

Unworkable is right. It takes a long time to integrate such a massive technological change without problems.

That’s why Toyota went with fuel cells. Cracking hydrogen from water is a prosaic problem. And PEM materials are cheap and easy to come by. Still not a simple change, but one likely to go easier then using Li+ batteries with ever more exotic chemistry.

The point is, if the market actually supports such things, it will all come naturally. The current “shortage” of oil is a fraud. Just over a year ago we were energy independent because Trump let that happen. So they needed to kill that because it exposed the lie. They think if they impose absurd targets and artificially choke off production, everyone will be forced into their equally absurd “solutions”.

“This is insanity. Not even a Toyota Prius hybrid electric gets that kind of mileage.”

No, it is designed to bring the US down to third world standards, and control how far people can go. Travel is freedom, and the Commies can not have let people have freedom.

A family friend of mine pointed out that the extra money you pay to operate a giant gas guzzler is sort of like the premium you pay for life insurance - except that instead of paying out to your heirs when you die, it actually ensures your life!
