Sarah Palin, a former Alaska governor and the Republican nominee for vice president in 2008, said Friday that she was entering the race for Alaska’s lone congressional seat, marking her return to national politics after she helped revive the anti-establishment rhetoric that has come to define the Republican Party.
She will be joining a crowded field of nearly 40 candidates to fill the House seat left vacant by Representative Don Young, whose unexpected death last month has spurred one of the largest political shifts in the state in 50 years.
Ms. Palin said she planned to honor Mr. Young’s legacy, painting a dystopian picture of the nation in crisis, criticizing the “radical left,” high gas prices, inflation and illegal immigration.
“America is at a tipping point,” she said in the statement. “As I’ve watched the far left destroy the country, I knew I had to step up and join the fight.”

FLASHBACK: Women Have Palin Envy
Jun 8, 2011
https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2011/06/08/annette_women_have_palin_envy/
CALLER: I have the answer for you about why Republican women and a lot of women don’t like Sarah Palin, and I’m probably gonna cause World War III here but it’s a numbers game. Because Sarah Palin is a “10,”and anyone I’ve found that below an “8” can’t stand her. Women are women first and conservatives and Republicans second, and the women that I talk to are so jealous of her. I don’t see them that way with Michele Bachmann, but I don’t know that Michele Bachmann has what Sarah Palin has. I love Sarah Palin, and I find that when I bring this up with women, they’re just insanely jealous.
Just donated:
https://secure.winred.com/sarahforalaska/donate
winred.com is the fundraising base for the Republican party. but it allows the donor to target the candidates they want to support.
so while “legally” it is separate, I guess, your donations via winred are sent directly to the candidate’s campaign.
saves the candidate the trouble of having to build an internet infrastructure and fundraising arm.
All of my Trump donations were done the same way. it is legit.
Looks like she just posted the announcement herself on her Twitter Account.
So why will she quit this time? A gig from News Max?
*Because Sarah Palin is a “10,”and anyone I’ve found that below an “8” can’t stand her. *
I believe you’re onto something. 5 kids=big family. Hunky husband(used to have). She was successful in the workplace + looking good. Women could only dream of all that. Kinda makes you wonder. Even Bristol getting knocked up, the son getting jailed. Everyday problems to deal with and get through.
Is this a ranked choice ballot? Good to see Wasilla back in the news.
Good Luck, Sarah. Stay focused on the big picture, don’t let yourself become a cartoon image of someone reacting to every little thing the Dems say about you. RESIST the impulse to spend most your air time in “Clapping Back Mode”.
They will be throwing all manner of bait in your direction, hoping to distract you, to pull you way off message.
You are a wise and capable woman when you stay on message.
You go, cuz!
“I’ll have to send her a donation.”
Me too.
Soon, I expect an envelope from her.
Go Sarah !!!
Her main Republican competition appears to be Nick Begich III.
He is a grandson of former U.S. Representative Nick Begich and nephew of former U.S. Senator Mark Begich and Alaska Senate Minority Leader Tom Begich. All are Democrats. He’s a Republican.
I liked her when she was a conservative. After what they did to her, I guess you can't blame her.
But after she got a Democrat elected for governor in Alaska, it's hard to support her.
Are any Republicans running in the Republican primary?
Somebody posted they went to the California style “jungle primary” with ranked choice?
Win big, Sarah.
Good. No “I guess”.
