I have a bit of a dog in this fight because my kid is a Hungarian citizen. There are billboards on the side of the road in Hungary telling visitors they should respect Hungarian culture, religion, traditions and their way of life.
It’s not that Hungarians are against immigration, it’s that you are expected to take up Hungarian ways once you are there. That used to be the idea here in America.

Right. Plus the Hungarians expect their immigration laws to be followed. You want to immigrate to Hungary? Then follow the rules. You can’t just walk over the border and then sign up for free stuff.
As you noted, that’s also the America used to be.
Orban is probably the best of all Western leaders.
English is easy enough to learn. Hungarian is one of the hardest languages on earth.
