Your definition of whining is greatly different from mine, but thank you for attacking me personally and ignoring the actual content of my posts... Sadly as a member of Free Republic for close to 30 years now, I can say, this is now sadly common place more than the exception.
I suggest you go and read all my posts on this thread, in their entirety and not simply knee jerk react to something I said you didn’t like... but I know, that’s not likely to happen either.
I have developed software and complicated distributed systems for closing in on 30 years professionally, it has put a roof over my head, and fed and clothed my family, I didn’t get where I am because of desiring “instant gratification”. I spend years of my life learning my trade before I ever made a dime from it... I have offered an honest assessment of the state of Truth Social as a professional with industry experience, neither as a Trump fan boy or Trump hater, but as a professional in this field.
I have not talked down anything, if I was talking it down I would have said “it was doomed to fail”, which I have never said not once. You wish to dismiss my opinions as being ego strokes, go right ahead, if that helps you sleep at night then by all means please do so.
I’ve stated quite clearly the proof of the leaderships incompetence is around the lack of COMMUNICATION. If they were so close to being live, you would be hearing something but you aren’t... why? Ask yourself that simple question.
This isn’t a personal thing, though you clearly seem to have some sort of personal emotion invested in this.. I do not. I have stated in other posts here, I think there is a need for a social media company that is not beholden to the tech oligarchy.. I have no desire to see this fail, but its definitely not on the right path, and if you think it is, then just answer the simple question...
Last major public announcement was around February 20th that they would be fully operational by end of March, and here we are the end of March, and they are not fully operational, nor have they offered any sort of update or communication to anyone... In cases like this, silence speaks volumes. It tells you, that they are way over their heads and underestimated the amount and scope work needed.
When you have your launch, (which they did) and it blows up (which it did).. you aren’t being successful... when you then say, we’ll have it all worked out in a month, and then go dark for 5 weeks, and the promised day comes and goes, and still aren’t working (which it isn’t) you aren’t being successful.
This is now the 2nd deadline they have missed, that doesn’t bode well for the state of things, but it’s the deafening silence that is the most telling, as I stated before. If they were on the verge of getting it working the PR machine would be in high gear... hyping it and trying to drum up excitement etc.... the lack of communication of ANYTHING is deafening.. that tells you they aren’t on the verge of getting their problems fixed.
We’ll see where we are in 60 days, maybe they will be up by then, or maybe they won’t, either way, this launch is a fustercluck, and there is no way to spin it otherwise.

Why, because it hasn’t come out in perfect form on exactly the timetable initially thought viable (however it already IS out there but needs fine tuning). It is going to happen, just not on your demanding timetable. And you act like your ego isn’t involved. I respectfully disagree; I think that is exactly what is going on here. You think you know better.
I believe you think if you were in charge it would be done perfectly. Your need to list all of your tech kudo’s, impressive as they may be, shows that you feel you can nitpick Truth Social to death because it doesn’t meet your high standards.
Even though you have no idea what obstacles, pitfalls, etc. Truth Social has had to overcome to get their product out, be it technical issues, political issues, licensing or rules and regulations issues, general glitches that arise, etc. you make no allowances for that. The trains must run on time.
The only way this is “personal” to me is that I can’t stand that you and your fellow complainers are trying to tear down conservatives’ first and best effort to go up against Big (and corrupt) Tech to counteract their enormous negative influence on our country, and there you all are nickle and diming their efforts.
I find that unconscionable and beneath what your credentials imply. Then offer your services to Truth Social and go aid them in any way you can rather than bad rap them in the name of what? You sure aren’t helping in the morale category, are you. Which leads me to think you are puffing yourself up at the expense of the roll-out of the conservative media platform we so desperately need.
Why don’t you just lay off and leave the builders of the platform alone to iron out glitches. It’s the end result that counts, and there will be a good end result, just not on your personal timetable. So, hopefully although I doubt it, you and your fellow nitpicking cohorts will tone it down and/or just have nothing more to do with Truth Social, including using that which you choose to deride.
By the way, my 24 years on FR may not quite match your 30; we are however both up there in years as Freepers. This is one website I would never choose to not be on, and I am sure you feel the same.
