House Democrats will hold hearings blaming oil and natural gas companies for the soaring gas prices under President Joe Biden.

The House Energy Commerce Committee will hold a hearing, “Gouged at the Gas Station: Big Oil and America’s Pain at the Pump,” on April 6 that will include the CEOs of Chevron, Devon, Exxon Mobil, Pioneer Natural Resources, and the presidents of Shell USA and BP America.

Gas is still available. The Dems will change that.
They want people to hurt.

I don’t believe most Democrats have a good understanding of economics. They
govern by their ideology, not by facts.

I would like to see an exec say, “With respect, sir, you are not a petroleum engineer and are not qualified to comment on anything oil related.” And if they get mad tell them it is the Katanji rule.

It wasn’t Big Oil that created the fracking boom in North Dakota that shifted America from importer to self-sufficiency.

Oil companies: Then we can drill here in the USA and have pipelines transporting oil instead of dangerous railroad cars owned by Warren Buffett, right members of the democrat party?
Oil drilled anyway else in the world is still oil right?
Drilling here will greatly lower the cost of gasoline.

Democrat party: umm.. ah... umm...

“Big Oil” celebrating because prices are high may or may not be true however, they’re not stupid. If it’s true, it’s analogous to the financial issues of 2007-2008, which as its root had the government as the problem. Back then, the government FORCED banks to make loans to non-creditworthy borrowers (Remember the Community Reinvestment Act from the 1990s?) The banks, being greedy but not stupid, spread the risk through Mortgage Backed Securities and got the rating agencies to rate them high. While oil is a world-wide commodity, in the present day, the rise in the price of fuel (and most everything else) is TOTALLY ON THE GOVERNMENT. Between EO13990, restricting/prohibition of drilling on federal lands (how were these lands acquired anyway?), and the totally irresponsible, needless printing of money and injecting it into the economy, what do you expect to happen? It takes a long time to build however, as we’ve seen during the last 14 months, it doesn’t take a long time to destroy.
