Finland will join NATO thanks to Putin’s threats
Finland’s President Sauli Niinisto said the country would review its security policy to decide whether to join NATO.
On March 2nd, Finnish lawmakers met to discuss Ukraine and Finland’s potential membership in NATO, according to Politico. YLE, Finland’s national broadcasting company found that 53 percent of Finns support joining NATO, up from 19 percent in 2017, and 76,000 Finns have petitioned to hold a referendum on NATO membership.
