Just doing a little math. A 12-pump convenience store in a busy location can pump gas into 50 or 60 cars in an hour.
With a 25 minute recharge time (minimum), EV’s will take at least 25 chargers to charge 50 cars an hour.
So, take every gas station and add 25 more spaces, at minimum. Plus, for now you can’t reduce the number of gas pumps, since ICE vehicles will continue to make up the majority of vehicles until at least the mid 30’s.
It’s going to eat up a lot of real estate.
For the time being, I live in WA. Believe it, they will ban the sales of fuel powered vehicles for personal use. They will likely breach hydroelectric dams on the Snake river and the Columbia also.
The motto is “you will own nothing and be happy”. They mean that too.
The thing is THEY will own things, including diesel powered jets, and gasoline powered limos. They will also owned the homes we will rent from them.
