Think bigger. Harding cut the federal staffing 30% in his first and only 1 1/2 years. And that was before the bloat had gotten very far.

Let's not leave the Pentagon out of it. There should be a minimum of a 50% cut in general/flag officer billets. The running joke is that 3 star generals get the coffee for their 4 star general boss first thing in the morning.

I'm glad I never worked beyond battalion level when I was in the Army. Too much BS at higher levels. I worked for a couple of officers that were great staff officers, but never should have been allowed within 100 yards of regular soldiers.

I also had a battalion commander whose leadership style was Kamala-esque. When things were going well, it was because of his great leadership. When things weren't going so well, it's because we were incompetent. Sound familiar?
