Thanks RACPE. Not sure it was much of a victory for the Turks, but the British and French didn’t accomplish their objective — unless that objective was to feed their troops into the guns of the “soft underbelly of Europe”. Memory of the WWI losses led WWII Britain to delay delay delay a second front in France, while getting us to fight for restoration of their North African holdings, then resume the “soft underbelly” horse****.
