Russian President Vladimir Putin held a rally on Friday in Moscow to support his position regarding the Ukrainian invasion, and pundits have drawn comparisons between the current situation and Nazi Germany.

As Russia's war with Ukraine continues into the 23rd day, Putin spoke to a packed Luzhniki Stadium in the capital, attempting to rally Russia's citizens and defending the reasons behind the war.

"We know what we need to do, how to do it and at what cost. And we will absolute accomplish all of our plans," Putin said, insisting that the conflict was a necessary feat to prevent the "genocide" of Russian policy. "To liberate people from this suffering, from the genocide, is the main inspiring motive of the military operation we started in Donbas and in Ukraine," Putin said...

A woke take on Putin's speech today.

He invoked the Good Book about laying down one's life for a friend.

They want to drive Putin’s popularity rating down lower than theirs because they can’t do that to Trump’s ratings.

Since the western media propaganda machine has been LYING to me ALL MY LIFE, I became skeptical and looked into why Russia invaded Ukraine to try and get both sides of the story.

most people do not even know the "russian propaganda" side of the story, only the western media Soros/ klaus Schwab drumbeat narrative

Too bad there is no adult to go break up this fight, all we have is worthless politicians like Mit Romney or Carpetbaggers like Hunter Biden using Ukraine as their racketeering and money laundering platform

The personal attacks on ordinary Russian citizens by Big Tech have united the Russians.

Those psychopaths should have left well enough alone, but they were still priapic over cancelling the Canadian truckers.

Its pretty rich watching Biden call Putin a murderous dictator. I suppose it is worse than being a murderous puppet propped up in a coup like Biden and his crackhead son Hunter. And I remember how Obama murdered Mohamar Ghaddafi and US Ambassador Stevens for no reason other than to seize Libyan/Russian assets held in EU/US banks.

So I guess being a murderous theif is far better than being a murderous dictator like Obama /Biden

Actually, a great many people are familiar with the "Russian side" of the story. They also know the full historical background.

So, care to discuss the terms of the 1994 Budapest Agreement in which Russia promised to respect the borders of Ukraine and to not interfere in internal Ukrainian politics, in exchange for Ukraine agreen to turn over all of its nuclear weapons? In my experience, the "Russia propaganda" side of the story pretends that never happened.

George Kennan warned about expanding NATO in the direction of Russia and what that would lead to and that’s exactly what the United States did for the past two decades.

Kennan the US diplomat the architect of the original “containment” policy regarding the Soviet Union knew this pushing NATO east policy would trigger a reaction sooner or later.

“He invoked the Good Book about laying down one’s life for a friend.”

Putin is not a Christian. When non-Christians “invoke the (sic) Good Book” it’s to manipulate.

As for this article, it’s stupid.

I don’t care what pundits say. Why do they write an article about what other people say about a speech rather than report the speech.

Joe Biden is many things, incompetent, arrogant, ignorant, corrupt, disreputable, and he has been wrong about every single major policy issue for over 50 years. But he is not particularly murderous, Senators don’t have to do dirty deeds like that. Nor, despite the best efforts of all the statists who infest the Democrat party like termites, is he a dictator.

If he was, this site wouldn’t exist, Jim Robinson would be in jail, and I would have pulled out my weapons to fight a long time ago.

Mr. Putin has relentlessly surpressed any dissent, jailed an ls murdered his opponents and squashed the inherent rights of the Russian people. He has invaded a sovereign nation in a war of conquest, and has threatened us and our Allies with “unimaginable consequences.”

There is no comparison between a corrupt politician in a free society and a dictator.

***Was Russia/US/Ukraine signing the Budapest Agreement “pushing NATO east”? Because the Ukes HONORED that agreement [it did not involve joining NATO], the Rukes INVADED their country TWICE, and we abrogated that agreement.

the main difference is in who controls the narrative and creates an illusion of freedom. We can chatter and peep like chickens in a coup all we want but just don't try a Jan 6 protest or question the election like Lou Dobbs or sell oil in non-USD or occupy Malhuer or Waco and we will be "free" to speak out (as long as its not on social media with more than 5 views).

Yes freedom of speech is wonderful, and I love wearing a mask and being coerced into taking the jab

Oh OK! I didn't know that the world granted Pootie a license to slaughter women and children?

Isn't it amazing - if the dead in Ukraine were killed by an earthquake all countries of the world would send aides and relief workers to help. But since the earthquake is Pootie it's a hands off situation.

I agree. Putin could have had a huge impact by not invading the whole of the country but just pulling up short. The fertilizer sanctions and wheat sale curtailments would have had a huge impact without the invasion. He could have demanded gold for his oil. He supposedly has a big army of hackers but they seem strangely silent in their doings right now. He could have cut fuel to Europe and did a lot of things to get his message across. The invasion actually weakened his hand.

A bunch of NWO Lilliputians are trying to goad the Russian and the American Gullivers to fight each other so we can destroy each other and they can supposedly pick up the pieces afterward. They are caught up in their own delusions that some how the Atomic blow back won’t affect them.
