Ukraine humiliating Russia on battlefield, says military expert
BBC ^ | 18-MAR-2022 | James Clarke

Ukraine is "humiliating" Russia on the battlefield and "wiping the floor with them in terms of world opinion", says a UK military expert.

Prof Michael Clarke, former director of the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) think tank, says: "The Russians are making almost every tactical mistake it is possible to make."

Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, he explains: "They [Russian troops] look like forces that were completely unprepared, that hadn’t thought through what a major campaign might look like.

"The Ukrainians are stalling the Russian advance in all areas and even operating now quite effective counter attacks. The Russians are losing a lot of equipment and troops."

Not really convinced of mass casualties by that video.

There are plenty of videos showing dead Russians. No matter how many you see you will just say "that might be fake". Is that because you can't accept that a lot of people are dying, or that you are a Russian fanboy who wants to spout propaganda for them?

What you called "a wax mannequin" is the remains of a young man from somewhere in Russia who was blown apart by an RPG that hit the truck he was in. In reality that is very sad because he would not have been there to die if it were not for Putin's invasion.

More than 1000 vehicles have been destroyed by rockets, shells, or other explosives. Anyone in most of those vehicles was killed. In many cases you can see their bodies if you want to convince yourself.

A lot of people are dying whether you want to accept it or not.

13,000 dead so far that has been taking place since 2014

More Russian propaganda. There has been a war in the Donbass region since the Russians started it in 2014. The number you are quoting is roughly the total casualties of both sides, and it is mostly members of the military on both sides.

You are free to believe what you want. Just remember propaganda is a TOOL countries at war use against each other. That does not necessarily mean there is no grain of truth in these propaganda. We have to draw our own personal conclusions based on what we observe. That is the tentative conclusion I draw for now unless you can show me otherwise.

Putin will finish up his military operation, cut the agreement he wants with Zelensky and go home.

If Putin does that, he will have lost.

No one knows the real causality count at this point and if they do which one is the accurate report? I’m skeptical to the point that I do not believe the reporting on this war from the same outlets that said that DJT paid urinating hookers and Hunters laptop was Russian propaganda.

They will report ANYTHING to further their warped agenda.

But you said Putin wouldn’t invade. Your crystal ball is suspect.

Ukraine wasn’t part of the Russian Federation after the USSR dissolved.

No one is claiming that Russians are terrorizing citizens throughout Ukraine. The attacks are in the east and southeast, even according to the MSM. That doesn’t preclude the Russians being stuck in the mud with high casualties. The fact that they aren’t overrunning the entire country supports the idea that the Russians are bogged down. How can such an overwhelming force not be in Kyiv yet?

The vast majority of the millions of refugees are women with children and the elderly. That can be true at the same time that most Ukrainian men and quite a few women are standing and fighting. The population of Ukraine is over 40,000. Around 2.5 million have fled. That leaves a lot of people to fight. Again, your two points aren’t mutually exclusive.

They must be Russian military. The Russian military doesn’t seem to have grasped the concept either.

No nobody debunked the facts. Here’s another truth in a week or two this Ukraine thing will be over. There is going to be a peace agreement based on what Putin wants which is actually not that much.

Putin’s military has already taken out the NATO military bases and US bio weapons labs. I am sure the documentation they have captured is going to be highly embarrassing for us. Ukraine is in violation of the Minsk accords. Putin has been voicing his concerns since 2018. Five mos ago he went to the UN. None of this should have been a surprise to anyone.

Russia destroying and occupying the Ukraine is made up hysteria by the EU/NATO/NWO and the MSM. The deep State here in the US is watching one of its last major sources of income go bye bye.

I totally thought Putin would only go into the two separatist states and clean them out. I guess he decided to go for the whole enchilada.

My thoughts on this are that OUR intel whispered in Putin’s ear that Ukraine was going to be brought into NATO and the EU, the globalists want Putin gone just like they wanted Trump gone!! They knew EXACTLY what would push the Putin buttons to do this invasion, and now the propaganda machine is in overdrive!! It is being reported on OANN the maternity hospital bombing was a false flag operation, the hospital had been evacuated more than a week ago! ANYONE surprised!!

Iraq has also been sovereign for a long time post-Saddam.

_________________________________________________

With a government approved of by the US. We would not have left unless the goverment was acceptable...in effect a puppet regime. But to claim that our excuse for invading and nation-building those two countries is justified solely on the grounds of the 911 attacks is certainly no stronger than any argument that Russia could conjure up in defense of their own invasion of Ukraine. To argue that we were attacked by Iraq or Afghanistan in any meaningful way is so great stretch that anyone other than a hopelessly blind hawk will see it as weak sauce.

my hope and prayer is that this forge a strong enough Ukraine that can keep both the russians out and the grifters like George SOROS, Bidens, Clintons and others...the reason why Putin felt he could take Ukraine was the actions of other countries that used the country to hide there illegal activities.

I’ve recently tried to put the growing civilian casualties in Ukraine in some kind of historic perspective.

I think that much of our reaction to the scenes from the war has us rivetted to our news sources and polarized in our opinions. We can imagine the horror of losing loved ones in a bombed out maternity hospital or a theater and our immediate reaction is, “Make it stop”. While the videos of apartment buildings getting hit by rockets or artillery make ghastly television, I don’t agree that we should be measuring the Ukrainian reaction to their own non-combatant casualties by American standards.

We don’t ask ourselves how many civilians died in the Blitz in London, or the bombing raids over Berlin. Through his policies, Stalin ended the lives of 5 million Ukrainians in the 1930’s through pogroms and starvation. I don’t see anyone getting to worked up about these much more horrendous examples of man’s inhumanity to man.

We can debate endlessly whether Ukraine is winning or losing, retreating or advancing on the battlefield. Some are certainly calling for Zelenskyy to surrender to end the civilian suffering. Others demand Western intervention to ‘make it stop’. Personally, I think that this action would cause immeasurably more suffering not just in Ukraine but perhaps across the face of the planet. But in the end, I think that the Ukrainians can decide for themselves the extent to which they are willing to accept civilian casualties and when it is time to say “enough”.

Just my 2 cents worth...

Yes, it would not surprise me if Trump’s military Intel guys pushed some info Putin’s way. But Putin has been complaining about the Ukraine situation since 2018. He finally got enough of NATO building bases at his backdoor in a country that is technically still part of Russia.

And then I’m in the minority here but Putin is no lover of the NWO and their evil child trafficking schemes, money laundering and drug running. He doesn’t want that for Russia. He’s been slowly getting rid of the worst of the Russian oligarchs since the 90’s. I would not vote for the guy for President here but he’s been good for Russians.
