A Russian model who called Vladimir Putin a “psychopath” has been found dead and stuffed inside a suitcase, a report says.
Gretta Vedler, 23, went missing a year ago after her anti-Putin social media rant, but the two events do not appear to be connected.
“Vedler’s ex-boyfriend Dmitry Korovin, 23, has now confessed to strangling her to death before driving her 300 miles to the Lipetsk region and abandoning the body in the boot of a car,” the Daily Star reports.

She got carried away with playing “hide and seek”. Such an over achiever.

Its clear we must never disregard the economic, political and scientific advice of super-models.
Russia is pretty much “Wild West”, the laws & enforcement are mighty iffy.
Russian capitalism has been called “Gangster capitalism” - being org crime is still a big thing there, it’s got it’s finger in all the pies.
During much of the 90s, criminal gangs were the de facto governments. It has been better for Russians under Putin, he took on org crime and kept the lights going (literally).
Again with this.
Clickbait lying headline.
Clearly says the two are not related yet look at the headline. Unreal
I’m guessing Putin didn’t like her.

The KGB seamlessly morphed into the Russian mafia after the collapse of the USSR. Which was no surprise; the KGB had aleady been operating as a de facto mafia for years. And its no surprise that Russia today has a gangster government headed by an ex-KGB guy.
Did someone say “Russian model?”

After WW2 Germany’s Nazi bigwigs loomed large in West Germany’s ruling business & government class.
Like Putin, they were not ideologues devoted to an ideology (Marxism, Hitler), they were just opportunists catching a ride on the next passing train.
” It has been better for Russians under Putin, he took on org crime...”
If you mean by “took on org crime” he put himself at the top of the organized crime hierarchy and made them a subordinate branch of his government, then sure.

Sorry, but there’s no evidence for that. He accepts the reality it exists and isn’t going away but doesn’t put up with the excesses.
After the USSR collapse, but before Putin, Russian was in terrible shape - the 90s especially, after the fall are not remembered fondly by most Russians.
Here’s is a documentary on that era, made during the time which shows the impact on everyday Russians after the Soviet Union went out of business.
It is incorrectly titled:
“USSR Memories - Daily life of a Russian family in the Soviet Union | Part 1”, it would be better titled “Life in Yeltsin’s Russia”, the Soviet Union was gone:

Was she scheduled to testify against Hillary?
“Sorry, but there’s no evidence for that.”
Of course there is, you may not like it, but the evidence is a click away so denying it’s existence is futile:

Just a few links showing Putin and his cronies’ connections to organized crime in Russia from his days as Deputy Mayor in St Petersburg through today. Not that we really need much evidence, since the assertion that organized crime which is running rampant in Russia while the dictatorial President-for-life Putin is unconnected to it and unable to stop it is something only a fool would believe.
You can believe what you wish, but it just the truth that life has been better for Russians under Putin than during the chaos that was before him.
You won’t find any Russian leader that has not been corrupt, the sad fact is that Putin is probably the best Russia can get for a leader. Russia has never had democracy or pure as the freshly fallen snow leaders.
But I agree with you - it’s terrible that Russians can walk into a jewelry store, fill their bags with the merchandise and just walk free to loot the next store.
We certainly aren’t allowed to loot and burn down swathes of cities and then have the police & govt leaders kneel down before us for doing it - as is the case in Russia.
But, y’know, it must being that criminal mind of Putin at work that allows such things in Russia!
Interesting comment about life being better for Russians under Putin. But in some Democrat cities, citizens can walk out of stores with stolen bags of merchandise & then go to another. Called smash & grabs in California, NYC, Portland, Seattle, etc.
Yup, that’s what I was talking about. Try walking into Russian a store grabbing what you want, stuff your bag full then walk out to head to the next store. Might not end well for you.
I suspect months long looting sprees probably wouldn’t wouldn’t be met with the Russian police kneeling to rioters, looters and arsonists, either.
