It not a binary choice.
You can disagree with someones politics without hating them.
By the same token, you can agree with someone's politics without obsequiously worshiping the ground they walk on.

According to some here on FR, we're supposed to hate and wish hell fire and misery on all Russian citizens (of which my wife and son are) because of what Putin is doing. Some of the stuff I have seen written on FR over the past few weeks has really saddened me. I really thought all these years I've been here that Freepers were better than that.
