Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said it is a “black day” after Russia shelled a military base in the western part of his country.
Zelenskyy said in his nightly address on Sunday that Russia fired 30 rockets at the Yavoriv military base. He said the attack killed 35 people and injured 134 injured others.
The base is less than 25 kilometers (15 miles) from the Polish border. Zelenskyy said he had given Western leaders “clear warning” of the danger to the base. He asked NATO leaders again to establish a no-fly zone over Ukraine. He warned “it is only a matter of time” before Russian missiles fall on NATO territory.

Rzeszow looks to be about 50 miles from the Ukrainian border, and the main highway goes direct from Rzeszow to Lviv in Ukraine. Total distance is probably around 90 miles.

Who knows for sure? According to Amir, in his latest Middle East update, is that Iran attacked American forces, which is not unusual, but they did it through their proxies. This time, however, according to Amir, these missiles were fired, directly from inside Iran. This is completely different. As far as I know, there has been no pushback. It was probably over the Suleimani thing.

This attack near the border of Poland was probably against a location where weapons and munitions, flowing in from Poland, were being stockpiled.
The Russians are not stupid or blind. They know munitions are arriving from Poland.
It makes sense to blow them up before they are used against Russian forces.
